The Hotel Utica is at the heart of the city’s revitalized downtown historic area.  The hotel closed in the early 1970s and was threatened with demolition.  A multi-million dollar effort in 2001 meticulously returned the hotel to its original beauty. The fourteen-story Renaissance Revival-style structure provides striking views of the Mohawk Valley and its interior boasts rich mahogany woodwork and ornate public spaces.
