Experience the colorful California Gold Rush days at the Holbrooke Hotel. For more than 150 years, the hotel has offered hospitality to Grass Valley locals and visitors. Today, guests can still have a drink and admire the original, ornate lead-glass and Tiffany-light back bar, reputed to be the oldest continuously operating saloon west of the Mississippi. The hotel has hosted four U.S. Presidents, as well as Mark Twain and “Gentleman” Jim Corbett, all of whose signatures are still visible in the hotel’s guest register. While The Holbrooke offers modern amenities such as private baths and cable television, its charm, authentic antiques and claw-foot tubs reflect a bygone era. 1851 Single/Double: $100.00 to $175.00
