This Mediterranean-style villa is enhanced by pale pink stuccoed walls, red tile roofs and an intimate lobby that features a large marble fireplace, European antiques and hand-loomed rugs.  In the guest rooms, unique hand-carved furnishings add warmth and character and incorporate the hotel’s signature mermaid motif.  La Playa is the only full-service hotel in Carmel-by-the-Sea and is a favorite spot for weddings, with its iron gazebo, manicured lawns and fragrant flower beds.
