 The Newagen Seaside Inn’s casual elegance epitomizes the spirit of Down East hospitality. Situated on 19 acres at the south end of Southport Island, the inn offers accommodations in both the main inn and guest cottages, all of which afford stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean. Writer Rachel Carson asked that her ashes be scattered nearby on the ocean’s edge. Many of her observations in the book Silent Spring are based upon her experiences here.
