The Thayer Hotel is located on the grounds of the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York, a few miles off of Route 9W. After entering the main gate and passing the checkpoint, guests are directed to the hotel, which is a short distance ahead on the right. The hotel is approximately 50 miles north of Manhattan.

From JFK or LaGuardia Airports: Follow signs to the Bronx-Whitestone Bridge. Stay on Hutchinson River Parkway North to Cross County Parkway West to Rte. 287. Take the left lane to the Tappan Zee Bridge. After crossing the bridge, take Exit 13N onto Palisade Parkway North. Follow to the end. Watch for signs for Rte. 9W and West Point. Take the Ret. 318 exit and follow to West Point Thayer Gate.

From Newark Airport: Take I-78 West to the Garden State Parkway. Follow the Parkway North to Exit 14A. Exit the Throughway at Exit 13N on to Palisades Parkway North. Follow to the end. Watch for signs for Rte. 9W and West Point. Take the Ret. 318 exit and follow to West Point Thayer Gate.

From Albany: Take the New York State Thruway South to Exit 16. Pass through the toll, take the first exit and turn left at the light. Follow signs to Rte. 6 and Bear Mountain Bridge. Follow signs for Rte. 9W North and West Point. Take the Rte. 218 exit and follow to the West Point Thayer Gate.
