  • Adequate hotel, but will not return

    by MJ115 on 2017-10-08 09:13 am

I was excited to stay in Fells Point and was not able to get a reservation at the Inn at Henderson's Wharf, so we decided to try the Admiral Fell Inn. The hotel is quaint, but the room was very small. There was no place to put luggage, and only a tiny area to hang clothing. There were no mirrors, other than the one over the sink in the bathroom, making getting ready difficult. There also was no hot water this morning. I have never experienced that at a hotel. We prepaid for the room and was asked for a credit card for "incidentals" and found that they charged us $9.95 "hotel service fee". When we inquired about the fee, they simply said that they charged it to all guests and turned away from us. Not very happy with the lack of service or the attitude of the staff.

  • Historical Hotel

    by Catherine C on 2017-10-07 04:03 pm

Charming historic hotel that has been nicely updated. Friendly and professional staff. One block from water with many pubs and eateries. Valet parking. 1 mile from Johns Hopkins Hospital. Highly recommend to travelers new to Baltimore who wish to experience the waterfront historic district.

  • Nicely Restored, Comfortable

    by Becki W on 2017-10-05 07:07 pm

This historic old hotel has a maze of hallways, but they led us to a roomy, comfortable, corner suite. Our bedroom had a recliner and armchair, the sitting room had a small sofa, desk, and refrigerator, and many of the furnishings were antiques. Like with most old hotels, there are a few trade-offs for the overall charm and nostalgia.
We could hear the music from the street -- it's right on Thames and the harbor -- but it wasn't distracting.
Would definitely stay here again when in the area.
(As for the 'ghost tour'... good thing it was free. Informative, but more historical than ghostly. Hardly a mention of a ghost.)

  • Buyer Beware

by JavaBeary on 2017-09-23 04:02 am

Don't stay on a Friday or Sat. night. The noise was overwhelming. Live music from bar across the street plus all the patrons yelling over the music kept me up till 2am. Then there are the car horns honking I think at all the drunks wandering the streets. Loved Fells Point, NOT Admiral Fell Inn.

    Owner Response
    Dear JavaBeary,

On behalf of our entire team, I would like to apologize for failing to exceed your expectations in terms of a great night rest. Your satisfaction is important to us and I our front desk will continue to ask each guest on their room preference in regards to street level or courtyard.
We appreciated you saying that you love Fells Point, it is full of great activities, shopping, dinning, and late night activities.
We will be using the feedback you provided to make improvements to ensure we offer an exceptional experience for our guests in the future. If you find yourself in Baltimore, contact me and I will make sure your room is nestled away from all the outside noise.

  • A great hotel at the center of the Fells Point.

    by jeffreyg269 on 2017-09-16 02:36 pm

Our room was only one of two with a balcony, located on the 4th floor. The balcony shares with the adjoining room next door. We were there for a weekend wedding and this hotel met all our needs and expectations. Parking in that area is tight. So be prepared to valet it with the hotel for $32/night.
