The Ambassador Hotel’s restaurant, The Chalkboard, carries the prestigious distinction of pouring the state’s best martini (according to Oklahoma Magazine), but don’t let the bartender’s talents keep you from ordering a meal—Tulsa People Magazine rates it as the best gourmet food in the city. The staff brings more than 50 years of experience to the restaurant, banquet, catering and hotel service operation.
The interior of The Chalkboard remains a bustling cafe dressed in a warm sunlit palette of burgundy and yellow. Slender rectangular tables dressed with white linens and informal flower arrangements make for wonderfully quaint setting to dine on the seasonally specific American fare. The restaurant has a fairly open kitchen for glimpses into food preparation but guests can also look forward to chatting with the owners, Ayhan and Tammy Ozaras, as they mingle in the dining room or the open-air patio lining Main Street (weather permitting). The Chalkboard is open for breakfast, lunch, brunch and dinner. Room service is also available.
