  • Poor customer service

    by kellyab2017 on 2017-10-15 00:10 am

While the location is great and rooms nicely appointed, the service was overall poor (front desk, bell staff, restaurant). The front desk was not helpful, despite multiple opportunities, and the restaurant service was slow and not very welcoming.

  • Construction should now be over

Stayed twice, one with my wife and later with the whole family as well. Second time was during their refurbishment work which should be well finished by now. Great hotel, amazing location and superior service.

  • Clean hotel, excellent location, unusual features

by DaddyDude on 2017-10-12 10:11 am

This hotel was very clean and perfectly located right next to the freedom trail. The breakfast was great and Ersala who served you was amazing. The bathroom shower had a curtain that when pulled back, one could see thrir partner in the shower from the other room. Definitely not a room if you had kids. Thete was no exhaust fan in the bathroom so you had to leave the door open if you wanted to use the mirror after showering. The bed and chair was extremely low to the ground and hard to get out of since i am tall and have bad knees. The bed was very comfortable and the view from the room was excellent. To get ice, one had to call for room service and the hotel only had valee parking ($53/night). The hotel does not have a restrauant but the restrauant available from the lobby was horrible(tasteless, overcooked fish with poor service). This would be a good hotel for shorter couples without kids but don't eat dinner there.

  • Great location...a little too romantic for family stay

    by Anne L on 2017-10-11 03:09 pm

I chose this hotel because of the proximity to the TD Garden for a concert. The room was very clean and comfortable with high ceilings and modern furnishings. They provided ear plugs and a soothing sound machine, but our room was very quiet (and we didn't hear any trains that were mentioned in some reviews). I was with my 12-year-old son and the shower has a huge glass wall looking into the sleeping area. It does have a sheer white curtain you can close, assuming for privacy, but I had to shower in the dark so that my body wasn't backlit through the sheer drape. A bit awkward to say the least. The rain shower head was amazing but our bathroom sink only gave very hot water (no cold). The breakfast room was small and jam-packed so that we couldn't get a seat. We opted to eat at Archie's in Pi Alley close by, which did not disappoint. I would recommend the hotel for business travelers and couples but not very kid or family-friendly.

  • Hokies Trip

Nice Hotel - Great Location - Great Restaurant and Bar. Beds are very low to the floor and tub/shower is difficult to get in and out of for older people. Staff is very friendly and eager to help with all of your needs.
