Beekman Arms and Delamater Inn

Overview

Since before the Revolutionary War, the Beekman Arms has welcomed guests to the beauty of the Hudson Valley. The property has operated continuously since 1766, retaining much of its colonial charm and character, while offering modern conveniences. The complex includes the Delamater Inn and Conference Center, a collection of seven buildings, both old and new, that is located one block north of the main inn. The inn is the perfect base from which to explore the many historic and scenic sites of the surrounding area. Rhinebeck is in the center of a National Historic Landmark District that encompasses nine fabulous estates, including those of the Vanderbilts, Mills, Roosevelts and Livingstons. The FDR Library and world-famous Culinary Institute of America are located in Hyde Park, just a few short minutes drive from the inn. Visit native wineries, pick your own produce or take a cruise on the Hudson River.

The Continental Army drilled on the lawn and townspeople took refuge here when the British burned the state capital at Kingston, across the river.
