  • A charming, cozy mid-breach oasis.

    by mikegrossman34 on 2018-06-14 10:52 am

With so many lodging choices up and down Miami Beach, it's hard to be sure where to stay. Casa Faena is a fantastic option. The mid-beach location is just perfect, located at 35th and Collins and one block from the beach. Everything about this accommodation is efficient, clean and relaxed. Check-in is a breeze. No uniformed desk clerks hiding behind imposing counters. Just a nice desk situated tastefully in the corner of a well-appointed foyer. We stayed in an Ocean view king room on the second floor which boasted a lovely balcony that overlooked Collins Street. Despite the street traffic, the room was surprisingly quiet with the balcony door closed. The king sized bed was very comfortable. The pillows were a bit too soft for my taste, but that's just a personal preference. Casa Faena has a dining area with good breakfast options and a Sunday brunch, tasty enough but rather expensive, although no more expensive than comparable dining options in the area. There are lesser expensive food options within walking distance. Casa Faena also affords its guests complimentary access to the breach with lounge chairs and towels included. That is a particularly nice perk. And the lounge chairs are not rickety pieces of junk. They are well constructed and come with a pad for your extra comfort. The staff is helpful, bilingual in English and Spanish and perfectly accommodating. Check out was just as easy breezy as check-in. Staying in Casa Faena is more like staying at a boutique hotel or a bnb. You could stay at the larger more impersonal looking Faena Hotel down the street with a pool, but do you really need a pool when you have the Atlantic Ocean? Even without a pool, Casa Faena guests can use the gym at the main hotel. Obviously, if you want to be close to the South Beach action or Lincoln Mall, Casa Faena may not be ideal, but those locations are easily and quickly reached by the ubiquitous Uber or Lyft drivers, and then you can leave all that hoopdee do behind you as you escape back to the care and comfort of your little oasis in mid-beach known as Casa Faena. I would definitely recommend this hotel, and I would definitely consider staying there again.

  • Lovely hotel - Mid beach Miami

    by tinamaria58 on 2018-06-05 01:05 am

Stayed 2 nights prior to cruise - lovely hotel with a very different feel to chain hotels, staff were so friendly and helpful with tips on where to go and public transport - free trolley over the road which we used to get to South Beach - get off at Lincoln Road and 10 minute walk to Ocean Drive. Spacious, immaculately clean room - would recommend!

  • CASA FAENA HOTEL YOU SHOULD AVOID

    by Ama A on 2018-05-24 04:33 am

This hotel is so terrible it does not even deserve a one star. The room provided was not fit to stay in from the start, had to complain about several things for handyman to be sent to fix of just the basic things. This could have been avoided if the staff checked and sorted the state of the room before my arrival. I have been in hotter countries where I have entered hotels rooms that smells fresher than the room provided, so expect a humid or damp smell. I find it the most odd to have the basin outside of the bathroom and a bathroom looking like in the 60's with a dirty curtain rail. If you are looking for bright room don't bother booking this room it's dark and the only window available in the room is blocked by another building that is not much of pretty side than viewing alley way. I asked to be changed rooms as I was already unsatisfied with the condition of the room provided. They were not able to provide me a change of room at the same price and any upgrades provided would be extra charge to my bill. In my opinion the hotel is more concerned making and keeping money than providing the excellent customer service to customers which they should be making a priority of.

Through out my stay I could say that hotel food was was nicely made but for the standard of the hotel I found it very pricey. The bed is comfortable to sleep in. If you don't like going up the stairs to second or third floor. I would avoid the hotel as well as the lift randomly does not work or at most times and this is supposed to be 3-4 star hotel.

On my last day before my departure it was raining through the evening and at night while I was asleep. I woke up in the middle of the night stepping into water that spreaded all over my floor due to a leaking ceiling. The water continued to leak through the ceiling all over the hotel room and all over my clothes and in my suitcase which was wet. This is the part where Alejandro helped me out best way he could probably the only staff member that tried his best by placing me in another room. Unfortunately the room I was replaced in had no hot water to shower in and at this point I got fed up of complaining ready to leave the hotel. The price you stay for in the hotel is not even worth it. The worst part was travelling back to the UK with wet dampy smelly clothes that i had to pay with my own money get dry cleaned. When you send them the bill and request for fair compensation Armando (hotel manager)

  • Excellent customer service

    by 2Ward on 2018-05-21 02:11 pm

I would like to thank the reception staff especially Estefania and Lianet for making our stay there so special during the entire stay. All the staff where helpful and considerate. The hotel is Quirky.Location across the road from beach and sun beds towels and umbrellas provided by the hotel at no extra cost..Loved the art work through out the hotel. Our room was kept nice and clean and the amenities in the room satisfactory. The only negative is the cleanliness of the furniture in the public areas and the first impression of the hotel hugely let down by a dirty entrance carpet which needs replacing immediately and the dirty soft furnishing of the outside furniture.

  • Small, Friendly and Colourful

    by Anthony T on 2018-05-03 11:14 am

Wasn't quite sure what to expect and we were both pleasantly surprised with the Casa Faena. There are plenty of taller flashier places along the beach, but this hot felt more personal. First impression of the room was that it was a bit spartan. This soon changed as we settled in. We were to the side and lacked a view, but that was ok as the room was large, the bed comfortable and service excellent. Bathroom seemed too small at first, but again that worked out ok.
What i really enjoyed, and so did the friends who came to visit and have drinks, was the more personal atmosphere and friendliness of the staff.
Loved the library too. Thats a great touch. Food in the bar is also excellent.
This is a lovely little hotel in area swamped by big brash hotels. The beach is two minutes walk away and has own chairs and umbrellas and everything else is on doorstep. A nice little gem....
