    beautiful and food was great! We had crab cake sandwich which was full of crab and huge! Also dessert was to die for, a banana cake like a banana foster! Also quiche was good too. The lobby is beautiful and beautiful Christmas decorations.

  • Fantastic place - but slow service?

    Great looking place in center of St. Augustine. Can get to most place on foot. Great rooms. Good food in restaurant. But service is slow a times. One night we simply could not get service in the bar. Breakfast service was some times great, some times rather slow.

    A lovely hotel in the heart of the oldest city in the USA. Perfectly located for all of the city's tourist spots, shops and restaurants.
    Heavily influenced Spanish architecture reflecting the city's origins. Comfortable and well appointed room

  • Beautiful Historical Hotel

    We stayed here over Thanksgiving and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel staff was wonderful and the location was perfect. It is the only hotel in the historic downtown area and it is full of history. Our room's decor was Spanish influenced and was very clean. Housekeeping was very friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed a delicious Thanksgiving Buffet at the Costa Brava restaurant in the hotel. I highly recommend this resort.

  • Disappointing

    The hotel is beautiful and the location perfect for visiting historic St. Augustine but the service was subpar. We arrived early for the Thanksgiving brunch and was able to get a room right away. We were given a king bed with a very small sofa bed as an upgrade. I would have much rather had the 2 queens listed on my reservation as we are a family of 4. At 6pm we noticed the pull out sofa had no linens and contacted guest services. We waited and waited and at 8pm my husband went downstairs and the agent said it was her fault. Ten minutes later someone brought up two sheets... no blankets and it was a chilly night. It started raining so we were not able to see the night of lights as planned on this night due to waiting. Purchased a $12 pizza in the lounge and never got our change. At check out we mentioned it wasn't a very good experience and the response was, "Thank you for staying with us." I don't think I'd stay there again as I have gotten much better service at other Marriott brands.
