  • Rustic, Unique, Atmosphere, Historic Conversion

    by Finrep001 on 2018-02-17 10:45 am

After a few prior visits to 'normal' hotels, I searched Lancaster for a special, history, place to stay, with Character - and - reasonably priced. This is it. Felt like a new conversion of an industrial property. Tucked away. Great Bar and Restaurant. Would stay again.

  • Neat hotel concept, but not the full service I was looking for.

    by Steven L on 2018-01-29 07:46 pm

The hotel was unique and if no better options are available, I would stay here. The staff was friendly, the restaurant was fair. Its not the full service I was looking for and the blinds were not the good at keeping out the sun.

  • A Wedding Weekend

    by sg911911 on 2018-01-22 02:56 pm

My family and I stayed at the hotel for a family wedding. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable. We loved the convenience of just going to another floor to attend the reception. The only disappointment was that the bar area closed a little too early, we would have liked more time to spend with people we hadn't seen in a long time. I would stay there again if I needed a hotel in the area.

  • Rustic/Industrial Wedding Space

    by MJwilliams111017 on 2018-01-14 01:05 pm

My wife and I got married at the Cork Factory this past November 10th and we could not be happier with our choice. The Cork Factory Hotel provided us with a rustic/industrial canvas with which to create our dream wedding ceremony and reception. The beautiful exposed brick and large wooden rafters in the ballroom created a warm inviting space for such a cold November wedding day. We planned every square inch of that space from rafters to cocktail napkins and our fantastic wedding coordinator Keri managed our day with ease. She took a detailed set of lists and room diagrams and made our day and our space stunning. We reached out to her constantly with requests about vendors and were probably mildly annoying at some points, but she was willing to work with us through everything. Her prompt replies and planning experience helped us nail down important details and made it a fun experience. Cork provided us an incredible meal selection, cupcakes that were mouth-watering, and excellent service that made us feel as though for one night, the whole world revolved around us.

If you think that you want to get married in a rustic sort of space, but you crave the warmth of brick, and you're just a tiny bit quirky, the ballroom will set your heart ablaze. The Cork Factory Hotel will forever occupy a special place in our hearts and we hope it will for you too.

  • Gorgeous hotel

by VaAlleyCat on 2018-01-04 11:57 am

Attended a wedding in the Ballroom at the Cork Factory hotel and we stayed overnight. The hotel and ballroom were gorgeous. They had a fire roaring in the ballroom and the Christmas decor was still up in the adjoining bar area - so the room was a glow.

The food was tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Our King bed guest room was comfy and fairly large (could have had a small dance party inside). Bathroom was nice - shower water pressure wasn't great, but OK.

You will notice that it can be noisy - hence the earplugs in our room. I could hear people walking on the floor above me. But, it wasn't so bad that it kept me awake. When we first arrived, they were still cleaning out the guest rooms and the vacuuming was so loud next door, it sounded like they were in our room. But I assume they don't vacuum after dark. :)

It was a great event and so awesome they could host the wedding, reception, overnight accommodations and even breakfast in the same location so we never had to go outside into the cold winter night.

    Hey VaAlleyCat!

We are delighted you enjoyed the wedding event and the food, it's something we take great pride in here at Cork Factory Hotel. We're happy that you enjoyed your room as well and apologize for the noise issues you experienced. Having been built in the 1860s, our buildings weren't purpose built as hotels, so our historic walls can sometimes talk! That being said, it is an area we're working diligently in to sound proof as much as possible over the next few weeks. We hope the experience you had will bring you back in the future!

    Thank you so much!
