Overview

It all starts with a warm chocolate chip cookie, a small touch of warmth and care for each guest as DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Utica turns travel into a human experience again. Opened as Hotel Utica in 1912, it was the premier hotel in Central New York. The hotel hosted notable guests such as President Taft, then governor Franklin Roosevelt, and Major League Baseball teams, including the great New York Yankees teams of the 50s and 60s, as well as Jackie Robinson, as they visited the National Baseball Hall of Fame. The renovation and conversion to DoubleTree was completed in September 2017 and the old hotel was brought back to life into the 21st century with all the modern amenities Hilton travelers expect.

The newly renovated 112-room Hotel Utica provides genuine comfort with the Sweet Dreams sleep experience, while the highly experienced staff are dedicated to making every stay be the very best. As a luxurious full service property, the Chophouse Restaurant serves dinner nightly. The restaurant also offers the Wake Up DoubleTree Breakfast with a buffet option, along with a full service menu. Additional amenities for guest convenience include complimentary parking, 24-hour business center and fitness center, and meeting space for up to 300 people.

Located in the heart of downtown Utica, the hotel is close to restaurants, shopping, theaters, museums, breweries, and more. Interstate I-90 is less than a mile from the hotel for stress free commutes to all major businesses and colleges. Syracuse Hancock International Airport is 60 miles away.

DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Utica, a member of Historic Hotels of America since 2001, dates back to 1912.

Fun Fact F.X. Matt Brewing Company held a parade from its brewery to Hotel Utica and officially sold Utica Club, the first beer sold in the United States after prohibition ended on April 7, 1933.
