  • Horrible hotel

    The hotel didn't told us that , because of the Boston marathon , we will not be able to get to the hotel by car !
    It was pouring rain and freezing cold . We had 2 options : - to walk in the rain through the crowd ( 2 blocks ) or to wait for there car ( 1 for the all hotel ! ) . We decided to wait , we called 4 times because the car wasn't coming . They told us 10 minutes each time ......40 minutes later we arrived at the hotel . The lobby was absolutely disgusting, full of people changing clothes , stinky socks and smelly shoes every where on the floor , wet clothes , bags ..... just unbelievably and totally unacceptable for a 5 stars hotel.
    They left our bags in the middle of the crowd without watching them ! I had to complain again !
    The room was freezing cold . We called the engineer twice and asked for an extra blanket .
    The furnitures are old and need to be changed. There is no closet just a small armoire !
    We had a very large suite and a mini bathroom , totally out of proportion !
    Very very disappointed, never again !

  • Not worth the Money

    Beautiful historic hotel. However bathtub does not drain while taking a shower. Sink faucet was leaking. Toilets are super water savers, 3 flushes needed. Room would not get below 71. Also the hallways were quite loud at night.

    Wonderful hotel everyone was knowable and helpful. prefect....quiet room at night slept peacefully! Bathroom updated products supplied were first class! Housekeeping kept our room clean and towels were plentiful.

    the front desk is accommodating and understanding; the service is attentive without being intrusive; the hotel is beautifully maintained.
    why stay at a faceless chain hotel when you can truly feel like you are in boston?

  • Great service, fabulous location

    When we got out of our taxi, tired after a long flight, my son suddenly realized he had left behind his backpack, but it was too late, the taxi had started. To our surprise the hotel doorman ran behind the taxi well up the street, trying to stop it. The taxi didn't stop, but we were touched at the promptness of his response. Later the hotel helped us track down the taxi service and place a request and we were delighted to get the backpack returned. Overall we had a great time in the hotel.
