The rich and famous used to use the French Lick Springs for a luxurious extended stay. Guests were often known for attending the Kentucky Derby in Louisville (just about an hour south) and staying until the Indianapolis 500. French Lick Spring's signature fine dining establishment 1875: The Steakhouse pays homage to the first Kentucky Derby held on May 17, 1875.
1875: The Steakhouse offers choice cuts of meat which are 100% premium aged Midwest, corn-fed Angus beef. Guests can enjoy the open kitchen views overlooking the scenic gardens and gazebo.
