Nestled along the Vefsna River in the historic town of Mosjøen, the Fru Haugans Hotel has been in operation for close to three centuries. Established as a country inn during the late 1700s, the hotel has been run solely by five generations of women since Ellen Schistad Haugan first purchased the building in 1885. Brilliantly restored, the Fru Haugans Hotel provides for an incredibly memorable Norwegian experience. Its marvelous location at the end of the historic Sjøgata Street places guests perfectly for a rewarding journey out into this lovely historic community. Guests can visit the many cultural attractions that fill Mosjøen, such as the Helgeland Museum and the Kulturverksted. And many natural wonders are located just a few miles away, like the Midt-Norge and the Øyfjellet.
