  • Charming!

A stay at the General Morgan makes every trip to Greeneville very special. The staff, rooms, and excellent lounge and restaurant are true assets to the community. If you need anything, just ask, and they will accommodate. Very special place!

  • Comfortable

I was in town for business in mid-February. Finding the parking lot was a little difficult. More signage could be helpful. The Lobby was beautiful and classy. Checking in was a breeze. Local chocolates were on my bed in my room with a weather forecast for the following day. The room was cozy. The bed was just right. The coffee machine was broken/missing a piece. The bathroom overall was great. They even included cotton balls and Q-tips. The front desk supplied me with deodorant as I had forgotten mine. The Inn included a bar/restaurant. The bar was small but the employees and ambiance were great. The Filet Mignon at the restaurant was great rare. The prices were not too steep. Vouchers for breakfast at the attached caf? were worth $7.00. That was enough for a light breakfast. There was a two person band that played for everyone one night, in the lobby. No extra charge and the music was relaxing.
Overall the experience was enjoyable. Would recommend to anyone staying in the area.

  • Wonderful Historical Hotel

This a beautiful old hotel with updated amenities. I didn't get to see any of the resident ghosts, but would definitely stay again. The historical story is quite interesting. There's a coffee shop (thank goodness as no starbucks) and great restaurant within the premises.

  • Historic Inn

We stayed in a king room. It was large and the bed was very comfortable. Housekeeping had left chocolates on the bed prior to our first night stay with a weather forecast card - both were a nice touch.

The room was decorated tastefully as one would expect with a historic inn. High ceilings.

Very easy to walk around Greeneville and take in some of the history from here. Do not miss the tour of the mansion right behind the Inn.

While the lobby and common areas of the hotel were sparkling clean, there were a few shortfalls with the cleanliness of the room itself.

Also, in my opinion, the small voucher for the coffee shop does not equal a free breakfast.

  • Beautiful historical hotel

Being as we had very limited options of places to stay in Greeneville and the Hampton Inn (2 star hotel) was basically the same price as this four star hotel we decided to give this place a try. So glad we did. The beds were very comfortable, the staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was great and the sheets were luxurious. I highly recommend this hotel.
