The Gideon Putnam features 120 Georgian-style guest rooms, all well appointed and conducive to relaxation. Standard rooms come in a range of configurations (queen, queen and single, king, two doubles or two queens) and look out on the historic state park. Executive suites provide one large king-bedded room accompanied with a spacious sitting area. Parlor suites offer either a king or queen bedroom with an adjoining living room; the king bedrooms have two baths. Porch suites are each furnished with a king-sized bed and have French doors opening onto a screened porch with picturesque park views. Several quaint rooms originally designed for staff have been converted into accommodations for solo travelers, and a junior queen room is available at a value rate. A recently-completed (2004) renovation project has added furnishings, artwork, new carpeting, fresh paint and bathroom upgrades to all 120 guest rooms.

Guest rooms come equipped with voice mail, modem connections, and coffeemakers. For travelers needing in-room work space, many of the Gideon Putnam’s suites feature large, separate living rooms. An onsite business center provides copy and fax services. A wide range of audiovisual equipment is available for rent, and many miscellaneous meeting aids like podiums and flip charts are provided at no or low charge. Several intimate private rooms are well-suited to small meetings. The Georgian Room opens at 7:00 a.m. for breakfast Monday through Saturday and the Saratoga Grille serves pub food until 10 p.m. throughout the week, making it easy to work meals into a busy schedule.
