  • Nice hotel but the service and cleanliness need help

    We stayed at the hotel for two nights last weekend. Upon arrival the hotel is very cool and they've done a good of job of renovating an old building. I had done the digital check in and had received notification that I had been upgraded. My wife and I along with another couple went up to the 10th floor to go to the room and the digital key wouldn't work. I went down to the lobby and was advised that I had not been upgraded and my room was on the 4th floor. The two ladies working did not apologize for the hotel's screw up nor did they try to do anything to correct the issue. I had to call my wife and tell her to bring everyone down to the 4th floor which was somewhat embarrassing. The room it self was nice and longer than most which was great except that the tv is so small it's hard to see it from the beds.

    This hotel has also gone "green" so the air conditioning turns off when it doesn't sense anyone in the room. This is fine except at night when you wake up sweating because the air has turned off. There is also a fan over the toilet which turns off when it doesn't sense motion. This defeats the purpose of using it during your shower unless you want to periodically wave your hand around.

    The shower also had some mold in it in a few different areas which I was surprised to find considering the rest of the hotel was really clean.

    I do need to shout out one associate and that is Chris. He works the front desk at nights and when I explained the room mess up to him he was very apologetic and did provide breakfast vouchers for the following morning. He also acknowledged my hotel status and his surprise that things hadn't been handled differently. He was great to work with and an asset for this hotel.

  • Great location for Convention Center & Power & Light District

    Great location. Came for a conference and loved the proximity to the Power & Light District. Not a fan of the housekeeping. I questioned the front desk on if their staff was short handed and I was told "yes". The room was not clean - dirty carpet and floors, didn't even get service one day. Room itself had everything you need and was very roomy.

    Staff is very friendly. Bar is convenient and fun.

    Booked the hotel online with the Diamond Desk at a corporate rate. The hotel charged me a roughly 150 more for each night. Had to pay out of pocket the difference to keep my job. Not happy. I also had hot water issues which maintenance had to fix. I've stayed at this hotel several times in the past. I'm done with Hilton.

    Well presented with excellent service and convenient location. I have stayed at this location for numerous work trips and find the atmosphere and staff extremely helpful, polite and friendly. The location in the Light District is ideal for after work dining and entertainment and there are a lot of options within easy walking distance.

  • Excellent hotel in a great location with a lot of historic character

    Excellent hotel with a lot of history but modern and comfortable rooms. Location is terrific in the middle of downtown and only a few blocks (easily walk-able) from Sprint Center, Power and Light District, Convention Center and more.
    Downsides are it doesn't have a Concierge Lounge and Fitness Center isn't great. Does have a nice cafe attached with Starbucks inside.
    Service was good but not great.
