  • Expect No Forewarning on Chimney smoke

    by L9439GZchristinam on 2017-12-11 09:52 am

Very nice place and cozy. However, expect to not be forewarned that during the Fall and Winter season there will be smell in the rooms from all the chimney smoke. It was disruptive to my sleep. Also, room was very cold even maxing my room temp.

    Dear " L9439GZchristinam",

Thank you for choosing Hilton for your Santa Fe visit. Pinion wood burning in fireplaces are most definitely part of the ambiance in our part of the country this time of year. It does make it more cozy during our cold nights. We hope you will be back soon!

    Kind regards,

  • Great staff and service

    by Vicki C on 2017-12-09 05:02 pm

Stayed for three nights for work meetings and used the cedar boardroom on one of the days for 10 colleagues and had snack/drink service. Everything was as ordered and was tasty. Hotel room was very comfortable and conveniently located. Will stay here again!

  • Not up to Hilton Standards, especially the room service food!

by bwPhotographer on 2017-12-04 05:34 pm

We are Hilton Honors members and always stay at the Hampton Inn line of Hotels. The Hampton Inn in Albuquerque was full, so we booked a night at the Hilton in Historic Santa Fe, thinking that it would live up to the standards we are accustomed to at Hampton Inns. Significantly more expensive than Hampton Inn, but we thought it would be worth it. It was definitely not. Although the historic building is absolutely beautiful, we will not be going back. We ordered room service from a menu that had entrees ranging from $15 - $35. We ordered the "Knife and Fork Pork Sandwich", ($15) and it was completely dried out pulled-pork slapped on a stale bun. No pickles, no mustard, just the inedible pork on stale bread. We also ordered two orders of Beef Cavatappi ($25 each) which were both inedible because the wine was just poured over the top, instead of being cooked down. It was disgusting and inedible. My son's tuna sandwich was the only edible food, and the bill was over $100. Inexcusable. In the morning, we saw the breakfast buffet set up that looked like Hampton Inn's complimentary breakfast, so we assumed this was the same arrangement. We sat down and ate before hitting the road. Imagine our surprise when they brought us a bill of over $80 for our breakfast. We drove out of Santa Fe as quick as possible, and definitely will never be returning to this Hilton.

    Dear "bwPhotographer",

I am so disappointed you did not enjoy room service and were surprised regarding our buffet charges. I appreciate your letting us know and I will follow up with Chef. I am sorry to have not provided a delightful experience for you.

  • Would not come back

    by Susan P on 2017-11-29 07:11 pm

I don't understand the good ratings for this hotel. Dark, dirty room. Terrible food and service in Ortiz restaurant. The only good thing about this hotel is the location. There are definitely better places to stay in Santa Fe.

    Owner Response
