  • Fantastic Place and Staff

    by bob p on 2018-03-14 08:40 am

We had my daughter's wedding at the Historic Hotel Bethlehem this past weekend. Everything was perfect. My wife and I had the Governor's Suite so the ladies in the wedding party could have their makeup and hair done there on Saturday morning. The service was held in the first floor ballroom, the cocktail party on the third floor overlooking the reception ballroom on the 2nd floor. Food very good. Many of the wedding guests were from out of the area and stayed at the Hotel. They all liked their rooms as well.

Sunday morning breakfast was very good and was covered by the groom's father. The service there was top notch as well.

The staff was wonderful starting with Kelsey Lynn who handled all the arrangements there. Each staff member went out of their way to be sure this was a great weekend.

I would strongly recommend the Historic Hotel Bethlehem.

  • The perfect place to stay during Christmas season

by Newsdoc on 2018-03-11 06:04 pm

"Historic" is in the name of this hotel, and that definitely described it. It was quite pricy for what it was, but then the law of supply and demand was definitely effect: they don't call Bethlehem "Christmas City" for nothing. As with any old hotel, the rooms are small but they're right for the period setting; the lobby was beautifully decorated for the holidays, and the lobby restaurant was quite good (even if it was a bit overpriced).

  • Overnight Getaway for Birthday Celebration

    by LadyO2006 on 2018-03-11 02:37 pm

This was our first time staying at this hotel and from the moment we arrived, we knew it was special. It reminded us of where we were married down south so it had a very nostalgic feeling for us. Room was clean and lovely with soft music when we entered. The vibe was wonderful and my husband and I were so pleased that we've already begun researching their upcoming events so we can take advantage of it. The only only disappointment is that we didn't have time to try their famous brunch. Next time! We will be back. This is a hidden gem and a must-see for those who can appreciate some history and fine attention to detail. P.S...the signature hotel smell is intoxicating. We are already looking to book the event for the Roaring 20's Ball!

  • Love this historic hotel

We've stayed here a lot over the years and it never gets old. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Last time, my wife was checking in while I parked. I came to the desk and asked my wife if we were on the same floor as our friends. She said she didn't ask, but the woman at the front desk said that we were - she knew we often traveled together. Impressive. Get the Preferred King room, for a nice sitting area and refrige. We heard room 923 is haunted. We wish they had higher toilets and did not install undimmable LED lights in the bathroom (at least in ours). Also, if you expect rain, park on the roof of the parking garage to avoid lime-filled water dripping onto your car from the floor above. Recently upgraded bedding is very nice. And you MUST try the Penn State creamery. Extremely good ice cream. Will be back for the two weekends of Musikfest in August, where it is THE place to stay.

  • Very comfortable room, beautifully decorated, gorgeous views

    by irish0live on 2018-02-26 03:10 pm

Our stay was very comfortable except the walls are a bit thin and our neighbors were having some very loud sex, thankfully they chose to get their screaming out around dinner time so we exited the room for a bit.

    Owner Response
Dear IrishOlive: Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at our hotel. We are sorry that your neighbors disturbed your stay. We are happy that you found your room to be comfortable and well appointed. We do have rooms that offer sweeping views of the National Historic Landmark District and Historic Main Street. We hope that you visit us again soon.
