    The valet service was terrible. After waiting 30 min to move about 50 yards, I was accused of line jumping by the valet attendant, after the lady running it told me to move my car and place my flashers on. There was one person checking people in, which took another 20 min or so. Noone told us that we had to use our room key to operate the elevator, so it took us about 3 tries to get to our floor. The coctail hour was poor. It was cramped for the amount of people and the food was sparce and not good. At Dinner, I got steak, which was prepared well, however, I was given a butter knife to cut it. It was frustrating. The dessert selection outside of the wedding cake was poor. Before the night was over, you ran out of Miller Lite, which is the only alcohol I drink. The room was ok, but had very weak water pressure as the shower was less than enjoyable. Leaving, we once again had an issue with valet as there were only 3 or 4 people in front of us, yet it took 25 minutes to get our car. I was very unimpressed and will not recommend your establishment.

  • Delightful Surprise!

    Finally a hotel that knows its business. Great service (esp. in room dining), huge well-appointed rooms, reasonably priced, and lovely dining. The building itself lives up to the expectation of its name and it even houses The Playhouse at Rodney Square which features broadway musicals, concerts, etc. We booked a King Deluxe for our visit to the Grand to see 4 Puccini operas, and loved it. Would book again for any visits to Winterthur or Longwood without question. Sadly Wilmington has little else to offer, but the Legacy Estates are not far and worth visiting with this oasis hotel.

  • Wedding

    The stay was great. No issues. The staff was friendly. The rooms were clean. The hotel was very welcoming when we arrived. The lobby area was beautiful. There was quick service at the bar. We only were disappointed with our departure. We dropped off our card to the valet to get our car before going to get our luggage from our room. When we came back down no one went for our keys yet and we had to wait at least 10 minutes extra for our car.

  • Lovely for a Wedding

    Venue is lovely. Guest rooms are nicely decorated and comfortable, Bathrooms are oversized with quality products. The staff is friendly and helpful. We were able to get connecting rooms which was like a suite, perfect for traveling with our children.

  • Birthday Weekend Getaway

    I'd recommend this hotel anytime!!
    Rooms were amazing, soaking tub was heaven!
    Food was great, they made us a birthday cake that was ready for us at the front desk when we checked in. It was beautifully decorated and tasted delicious!
    We really had a great weekend! :)
