The Essex House opened in 1931 as one of New York City’s most stylish hotels. With Art Deco embellishments and an attentive staff, the hotel was popular with both travelers and New York society. The opulent Grand Salon hosted many of the city’s prestigious social events and Sunday brunch was a New York favorite.
