  • Great location

    by michelle8601d on 2017-11-14 02:32 am

Although this hotel was in a the perfect location, rooms were all redone, beautiful decor, bed was very comfortable, stayed for 2 nights. They serve muffins & coffee in the lobby in the morning, cookies & milk in the afternoon. We stayed here Nov 10-12, 2017 Temperature was in the 20's, wind chill in the teens, upon check-in they neglected to tell us none of the rooms had heat, nor did they tell all the other guests upon Check in. The room temp was in the 50's, they offered us a space heater, and an extra blanket . Other than the lack of heat, it was a nice place. I just feel that guests should be notified upon arrival, maybe if they offered a free lunch at their restaurant for the inconvenience of not having any heat- it would have been a good customer service gesture on their part, to their very cold guests. I felt like they really didn't care. I would have given them full star review if the heat was working

  • Stylish lodging in centre of town

    by Sally R on 2017-11-06 11:50 am

Well placed, attractive weatherboarded hotel. Good size comfortable rooms. No restaurant on site for breakfast, but coffee, tea & muffins in the lobby. Strange offering of milk & cookies in the evening. Very heavy hotel bicycles available to rent. Very helpful staff to help with luggage, but we found the check in young woman rather charmless. Our room was not ready, whilst we waited for half an hour she checked in everyone else who walked in, no apology or explanation.

  • Beautiful Stay

    by Isabella A on 2017-11-04 11:29 am

My mother and aunt came to visit me on island for the weekend... and what a stay! We stayed at the Kelley House conveniently located in downtown Edgartown near the shops and restaurants! Originally we booked a standard room with two double beds but upon check-in Adam, the manager, upgraded us to a suite with 3... THREE!... separate bedrooms. It was perfect! The suite also had a living room and kitchenette. I couldn't have asked for anymore... but there was. Gaby, our housekeeper, did a fantastic job. Everyday we would return back to our suite from different events to the beds perfectly remade, plenty of towels for the evening and the kitchenette reorganized. What a terrific stay.

  • A week at the Kelley House

    by Priscilla F on 2017-10-16 11:44 am

This hotel is so comfortable and convenient to Edgartown in every way. They serve a continental breakfast everyday. The rooms are very large or you can rent a beautiful suite. We enjoyed this hotel for 5 days in October, and had great 80* weather.

  • A Vacation Hotel Not A Business Hotel

by DWOtruth on 2017-10-10 05:20 pm

I occasionally accompany my wife on interesting business trips and as an old Vineyard regular looked forward to the chance to hike the amazing number of trails up island while she worked. The hotels we typically travel to are standard places that cater to the business crowd. Not here. Many of the little amenities that are standard: a functioning cable system, an ice machine, a clock in the room, a business center just don't exist in what was a $300 plus a night room. The good news is that this used to be an old traditional dowdy hotel and it has had a gut renovation so the rooms are first class. The walls are still thin but the help is willing to help where they can. It's a hotel in a vacation location where they assume you sleep late, go to the beach, get sunburned, go out to dinner and drinks and go to bed. And for that they do well. Just hope it doesn't rain.
