Originally the site of one of the area’s first great plantation homes, Le Pavillon Hotel in New Orleans sits at the heart of the historic city. Opened in 1907, it rose to instant international acclaim as one of America’s most notable new hotels. The “Belle of New Orleans” features a breathtaking lobby with marble floors, fine statuary, spectacular Czechoslovakian crystal chandeliers, and an array of American and European antique furnishings and artwork. Of special note is the Antique Plantation Suite, which is authentically furnished and dedicated to the preservation of Louisiana’s rich heritage.
