Located in the heart of downtown, LondonHouse Chicago is a short distance from delectable casual and fine dining, extravagant Magnificent Mile shopping, picturesque Millennium Park, scenic Navy Pier, notable Museum Campus and other quintessential Chicago attractions.
The Magnificent Mile contains a mixture of upscale department stores, restaurants, luxury retailers, residential and commercial buildings, financial services companies, and hotels, catering primarily to tourists and the affluent. The area also has a high concentration of the city's major media firms, such as the Chicago Tribune newspaper, and advertising agencies.
The public Millennium Park is located in the Loop community area and originally intended to celebrate the second millennium. Bounded by Michigan Avenue, Randolph Street, Columbus Drive, and East Monroe Drive, the park features a variety of public arts, and was the location of the city's annual Christmas tree lighting in 2015.
Navy Pier is a 3,300 ft (1,010 m) pier on the Chicago shoreline of Lake Michigan. The pier was built in 1916 to serve as a mixed-purpose public infrastructure. Navy Pier is Chicago's number one tourist attraction with sightseeing tours, dinner cruises, and fireworks. The popular Chicago Flower and Garden Show is held at the Pier.
Museum Campus is a 57-acre park that sits alongside Lake Michigan and encompasses five of the city's most notable attractions: the Adler Planetarium, America's first planetarium; the Shedd Aquarium; the Field Museum of Natural History; Soldier Field, home of the NFL Chicago Bears football team; and the Lakeside Center of McCormick Place.
