Located at the top of the lobby’s grand staircase in the historic mirrored Versailles Room, this elegant restaurant focuses on market-driven interpretations of classic French bistro fare. French Kitchen serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as weekend brunch and special holiday meals. Chef de Cuisines Zeke Altenbernd leads the culinary team, bringing a keen contemporary eye to dishes like Beet-Cured Salmon with Dill, Crème Fraiche, potato and everything-bagel tuile; Monkfish with Navy Beans, Pureed Fennel and Piment d’Espelette; and the French Onion Burger, with caramelized onion, bacon, gruyere pommes, pickle and remoulade. Pastry chef Donna Simmonds oversees all house-baked breakfast items, as well as all the bread served, and the French Kitchen’s contemporary French dessert menu.
LB Bakery, located on the corner of Baltimore and Hanover Streets, accessible from the Lord Baltimore lobby, open seven days a week from 6:30 a.m. The modern coffeehouse features house-made breads and pastries from the pastry chef Donna Simmonds as well as sandwiches and salads made daily with fresh ingredients. LB Bakery serves the world-renowned La Colombe coffee and custom blended teas from the Bellocq Tea Atellier. With indoor and seasonal outdoor seating the LB Bakery is an ideal stop for a quick breakfast or afternoon snack.
