  • Gazebo Cottage Early Valentine's Weekend

    by Ja B on 2018-02-13 03:33 pm

We had such a great time I am not sure where to start. The room was wonderful and relaxing. The breakfast was as filling as it was tasty. Loved the oatmeal and the french toast. The hosts were warm and gracious. Loved the area and all it had to offer. Be sure to check out the two local wineries, Banner Elk and Grandfather winery. Take a drive to Blowing Rock and stroll down the main street and when you are finished shopping and dining and sight seeing, return to your retreat in one of the cabins. I would recommend a stay here!

  • Back to Nature Relaxation!

We stayed 5 nights in Maple Spring Cabin, so cozy with a warming fireplace, comfy furnishings, and very clean. The stone walkway down to the Inn for the amazing gourmet breakfast each day got us warmed up for the day's activities including nearby skiing at Sugar Mountain, visits to The Mast General Store, hiking by the Watauga River and visiting/wandering around Banner Elk and Blowing Rock. So much to do! In the evenings there were great nearby restaurants for more gourmet treats. We cannot compliment the staff enough for their friendly and kind service each day. We had a special birthday cake made by Velva that was Deeeelicious! And be sure to check out the Cookie Jar for homemade snacks! A great value considering the full breakfast, privacy and coziness of the whole property. Go and Enjoy!!

  • A beautiful, historic inn with incredible, personalized service

From first site of the inn, my husband and I were blown away. The historic atmosphere coupled with the genuine hospitality of the staff made our stay unforgettable. The breakfasts are nothing short of spectacular (my favorite was the oatmeal), and the evening socials were a great opportunity to talk with other customers and also hear stories from the local residents. We cannot wait for our next trip!

  • Best lodging in the High Country of NC

This was our 2nd stay at the historic Mast Farm Inn, and it did not disappoint. After staying in the beautiful, historic main farm house last time, we elected to try one of the rooms/cabins on the grounds. This time we were in the Woodwork Shop and what an awesome room. It comes with a gas "wood stove", small seating area, original claw footed tub, shower, and kitchenette. There's also a small loft with another twin bed. Oh and the beds and linens at this Inn are the best! And we cannot forget about the 2-course gourmet breakfasts. They are also wonderful at accommodating dietary requests. All in all, another fabulous weekend that ended with out only complaint being that we needed more days! Thanks to the staff for their attention to detail and hospitality.

My family and I spent 4 nights in the Raspberry Hill cottage at Mast Farm Inn. The cottage was recently redone, and is absolutely lovely. I would add a full-length mirror, and suitcase valets to avoid guests placing their suitcases on the furniture or bedding, but otherwise it is a beautiful cottage, which we have booked again for fall color. The breakfasts were wonderful, as is the afternoon gathering for cheese, meats and hot apple cider in the main house. The entire Inn is beautiful, the setting is gorgeous, and the staff is pleasant and helpful.
