Newport Beach Hotel & Suites
The Newport Beach Hotel and Suites is the only hotel lining this stretch of the Atlantic, one mile from downtown Newport and a 45-minute drive from Providence’s T.F. Green Airport.
Newport has long been one of New England’s archetypical small towns. The mansion-like cottages lining Bellevue Avenue have lured tourists for decades, and the Cliff Walk—declared a National Recreational Trail in 1975—follows the serpentine eastern coast of Newport, interweaving the beautiful Atlantic with sterling architectural examples of the city’s Gilded Age.
From Boston & points north: Take Route 128 South to Route 24 South through Fall River, following signs for Newport over the Sakonnet River Bridge. From Route 24 South, take Route 138 South six miles. Turn left at sign to Newport Beaches (just after Dunkin Donuts on right). You are now on Route 138A. Travel two miles and turn left at the second light. The inn is 1/2 mile on your right.
From Providence: Take Route 195 East through Fall River to Route 24 South. Follow above directions.
From New York and points west: Take Interstate 95 North to RI exit 3A, Route 138 East. Follow signs over the Jamestown Bridge (no toll) and over the Newport Bridge (toll). After Newport Bridge, continue one mile to end of highway. Turn left at light at Jai Alai. Travel two miles, turn right at third light onto Valley Road (Route 214). Bear right at first light. The inn is 1/2 mile on your right.
