The Old Edwards Inn is pleased to offer a wide array of resort and area activities.
The Spa at Old Edwards: The Spa at Old Edwards Inn reflects the finest European-style luxury and provides a sumptuous backdrop for complete relaxation and personalized care in more than 25,000 beautifully decorated square feet. Presenting one-of-a-kind treatment rooms, signature therapies, complete salon services, personal fitness, recreational activities, and a spa and salon concierge, The Spa offers the ultimate in a luxurious retreat. The Spa amenities building provides additional treatment spaces, a Spa Café, and two additional exclusive Luxury Spa Suites. Highlights also include: ladies and men’s locker rooms, steam rooms, mineral whirlpools, ladies sauna, a spa solarium for relaxing between treatments, and expanded Spa Terraces where guests may relax or dine in pure serenity.
Golf: The Old Edwards Club is a private members-only club that is also accessible to guests of the Old Edwards Inn and Spa. The Tom Jackson designed golf course is an architectural marvel that cascades along the Eastern Continental Divide in the mountains of Western North Carolina. Members and guests enjoy a full-service restaurant and bar with scenic dining veranda, the Chimney Terrace slated fireside patio, a fitness center with locker rooms, outdoor heated mineral pool, clay tennis courts, and a fully stocked golf shop. Floor to ceiling windows in the restaurant and clubhouse afford panoramic views of the rolling landscape and the first tee.
Onsite Shopping: Highlands is known for its boutique shopping, and two of the most popular shops in town are at the Old Edwards Inn and Spa. Acorns on Main Street features fine European and American antiques, gifts, jewelry, and one-of-a-kind home accessories. Upstairs, shop for designer women's apparel, handbags, and scarves. In home accessories explore the designs of Juliska, Jan Barboglio, and William Yeoward Crystal. Select from the jewelry collections of Elizabeth Locke, Steven Vaube,l and Slane and Slane. The Bridal Registry features exclusive lines of fine and casual china, stemware, and gift items. Attend designer trunk shows throughout the season. Acorns on Church features hand selected best antiques, new furniture, home decor, art from around the world, rugs, and custom slipcovers.
Fitness and Tennis: Old Edwards Inn and Spa features two full-service fitness centers with state-of-the-art equipment—one located in the center of the main property, and one a short drive away at the Old Edwards Club. The fitness center features TECHNOGYM fitness equipment, individual instruction, weight training, classes, outdoor workout terrace, and heated outdoor mineral pool. Clay tennis courts are featured at the Old Edwards Club as well as The Farm, making a stimulating game of tennis a great way to start each morning or end the day.
Gameroom: The new Kelsey game room features foosball, a video game area, a large plasma TV with theater style seating, pool table, and more. The game room is open to guests and can also be rented out for private functions.
Ziplining: Guided mountain adventures on a private pristine eco preserve with beautiful waterfalls and unique flora and fauna.
