  • fabulous little sister to the big mt. washington hotel

this was my family's first trip to the bretton arms inn, which is next to the huge historical mt. washington hotel. we loved staying at the cozy inn. the inn is only 3 stories and is has a much different feel than the very large grand dame hotel. but, by staying at the inn, you can still use all of the facilities at the mt. washington hotel and take advantage of any omni resort activities. because, in fact, the inn is owned by omni too and the whole bretton woods area is basically one big omni resort (including the ski areas and a historic seperate restaurant, fabyan's). we would go back for sure!! it was hard to decide if we'd rather stay at the hotel or the inn next time we go. i liked the cozy lobby parlor at the inn with a sweet fireplace and large wingback chairs. in the hotel, you'd be one of hundreds of guests and hanging out in the lobby is a loud a sociable event.

  • Mt Washington (Bretton Arms Inn)

The staff, rooms and dinning at the Arms Inn is wonderful. The spa is extremely expensive when compared to the quality of service received i.e. massage; $180/50 min for a spotty massage light pressured when requesting/purchasing a deep tissue massage.

  • Experience Determines Value

Although a lovely hotel and convenient to the mountain, there were points in the experience that were less than satisfactory. If you are looking for a romantic or quiet getaway, then this is not the place for you.

  • Winter wonderland

Your resort is beautiful and was decorated exquisitely for the holidays. We traveled there as a family of 6. 3 adults and 3 children. We were bringing our grandchildren from Florida to see snow. We stayed at condo booked through you but were made to feel like outsiders.

Unfortunately the condo was not well maintained and we experienced many issues, such as frozen pipes, dust and lack of maintenance with snow removal. Whenever we scheduled activities through the hotel it was always a fiasco for them to make our reservation. We participated in tubing which was disappointing as the area designated was not adequate for the experience we were hoping for. Our sleigh ride which should have been postponed was supposed to be an enjoyable experience caused me anxiety and forced me to asking the driver how much longer. In my opinion, it certainly should have been cancelled or rescheduled.
Our dining experience in the Main dining room was not enjoyable at all. Our server seemed totally rushed and the food was certainly less than what I anticipated for a fine dining experience. I wanted a to go bag to take my chicken with me and I was never offered one. Throughout the meal we only saw our server 3 times which I feel was unacceptable. Then to be told the gratuity will be added to our bill due to the party size of 6 is understandable but not considering the service we received. Lastly there was much dissapointment with the spa not having adequate staff. We wanted to have a manicure and pedicure to only be told there was only 1 available opening so needless to say our rest and relaxation vouchers were never utilized.

In my opinion your staff needs to be trained more thoroughly so other guests are not made to feel like it's a puzzle visiting your resort and I anticipated you would be forwarding more information about the resort as our reservation date approached.

  • The Price Savings is Worth not Being in the Main Building

by mrossetti on 2018-01-09 10:03 am

I took my Mom up to the Omni and I really did not want to spend what the main building was asking. We stayed down the hill for way over a $100 dollars less a night. The rooms are spacious, lovely bathrooms and great Omni bedding. It was July and the weather was just perfect. Swimming in the pool with the mountains surrounding you is an experience I will never forget. The food was very nice and there were many options to be had. Evening cocktails on the huge porch was so much fun and one night it poured and we had a beautiful rainbow. The shuttle runs regularly and frequently from the Inn to the main building. They truly do not care if you took it 10 times in a day. The spot is breath taking and everything about the resort is lovely. We are planning to go back this year with a few more family members.
