  • Gorgeous hotel-Average Lunch

    by Laura H on 2018-04-23 08:15 pm

The Palace Hotel is a very elegant and beautiful place. It is worth a good look. The lunch at the palace is expensive and mediocre. The bread is the worst-tasteless and cold. The service was very slow. There was not enough wait staff. It took too long to get our food. It was a long hike to get to the restroom which required a pass code. See the palace, but have lunch elsewhere.

  • WONDERFUL HOTEL

    by Dave H on 2018-04-23 06:50 pm

Wow, what a great hotel. Area is good, no panhandlers.
Check in-Fabulous! The gentleman checking us in was so professional and proper. We were offered an upgrade to a suite, but for only one night, didn't think it was worth it.
Room: Plenty spacious for 3 adults and a 12 year old. Amenities and bathroom were all first rate.
Check out: easy, I was able to do on the tv.

    Would definitely stay here again.

  • Wonderful stay

    by Mable G on 2018-04-23 06:44 pm

Came to a conference in April 2018 at the Palace Hotel. It was an ideal place to have a meeting in San Francisco. The hotel is beautiful, especially, the dining area. The architecture, design, and detail are captivating. I loved the room too, but unfortunately, I had a room with no view, but I was out majority of the day anyways.

The location was convenient too! Chinatown was close by, we were also in walkable distance from the Wharf, and close enough to ride the Big Red Bus (?) around town and get some history and sightseeing with such a short stay.

    My dislike list is short:
    1) this is the first hotel I've ever stayed in that doesn't have a full length mirror. They should make that easy fix ASAP!
    2) the conference room that I went to did not have a functioning air conditioner. It was not happy times by all 50+ people, but, luckily, it seemed like everyone had deodorant on.
    3) staff at the front desk must have been a physician from their past life because their handwriting was awful. I almost went to room 665 but their "6"'was actually a "4". Would have been embarrassing to try to open someone's else's hotel door, instead of the staff writing legible.

    Overall stay was wonderful!

  • Historic but nicely updated hotel in a central location!

    by namrun14 on 2018-04-21 12:39 am

Enjoyed the updated rooms and historic common areas of this luxury hotel, which is located right in the center of San Francisco.

Breakfast and dining area is like a dream and overall service is meticulous. Will certainly return gladly!

  • Definition of Luxury - if staying downtown or conference at Moscone

    by marktS5189DV on 2018-04-21 07:05 am

Palace is a luxurious oasis from some of the unsavory aspects of downtown SF. if you are brought to this area for business or attending a conference at the nearby Moscone. Absolutely stunning property. Worth the extra money for the experience
