  • Wonderful Place to stay.

    by Juli R on 2018-06-18 09:01 am

    Beautiful wooded scenery.
Manor house is so amazing and filled with history.
The boardwalk around the lake is so nice for an early evening stroll. Lake is perfect for canoeing.
Quiet and peaceful all weekend long. There is also an indoor and outdoor pool.
    Returning this fall.

  • Beautiful place, with excellent food

    by irock2012 on 2018-06-12 04:06 pm

Grounds were breathtaking, staff wonderful and food to die for. Grand fireplaces burning which added that winter wonderland experience. My room was beautiful and very clean. Pool was great also. I would highly recommend this place for a weekend romantic getaway or just a place to stay while doing business in the community. Very lovely community also.

It was a nice stay. Did a 2 day weekend trip. Loved the beauty of the oldness and the feeling it gave. There were some good activities to do around the area as well. All in all. We enjoyed it. People were nice and the facility was clean.

  • Book your event/meeting here!

If you have not visited this location, please make this a stop when you are in the area! The grounds are beautiful and peaceful. There is a lot to offer with trails, golf and recreation.

I recently booked a corporate meeting here. The staff were fantastic and so attentive! The space rental was very reasonable and the total cost of the meeting was far less than what we would have spent at another location. Megan checked in frequently to ensure our needs were met and answer any questions that I had. They checked the room often and they were just a quick email away to help! We also had lunch which was fantastic and satisfied everyone. If you are ordering for an afternoon break, definitely order the brownies! They were delicious! I enjoyed a bit of downtime relaxing in the rocking chairs in front of the fireplace.

During the breaks and lunch we were able to step out on the beautiful patio and enjoy the peace and environment. This is a great location if you are looking to relax and create a memorable meeting or event! Don't pass up this opportunity!!

  • Mixed Emotions

    by Terri S on 2018-04-02 09:31 am

We stayed in the cabins for the Easter weekend. Booking process was easy, online. We received a phone call the evening before we arrived, inviting us to the Easter brunch on Sunday, which I thought was a great marketing idea. Knowing we already had plans for Easter brunch I politely declined. I did, however, ask if they had a brunch on Saturday morning. The gentleman on the phone said they had a breakfast buffet which would end at 11am.
We arrived just after check in time on Friday and the check in process was smooth. Right up until I asked the clerk how much the breakfast buffet would be the next morning. She said she thought 11.99/person but to ask a server in the dining room. We walked in and asked a server who promptly told me there was no buffet the next morning. I mentioned that 2 separate people had confirmed there was and he hastily walked to the front desk and had a terse conversation with the clerk. No buffet and a lack of communication.

Our cabin was exactly what we had expected, having stayed there one night a few years ago. They are perfect for a family. The only negative was they don't have blow dryers in the bathrooms. Didn't know that and showered for Easter mass an hour before we left. I rocked the unkept look at church.

Grounds are lovely, and the stairway they have down to the boardwalk is great. We did have breakfast on Saturday, from the menu, and everything was delicious.

Check out process was a breeze. I do have to say, I wish we were staying for the Easter brunch because it looked amazing.

    We will stay again.

    Hi Terri,

    Thank you for your feedback.

Yes, there was a bit of a disconnect on the breakfast for Saturday morning and I apologize for that. I have addressed this with the staff and we have corrected the situation going forward.

I am glad you enjoyed the rest of your stay and we look forward to your return!
