A very good hotel. It doesn't pretend to be anything that it isn't but the hotel is well kept, service standards are very good and rooms are spacious and well looked after. The food is also very good and is in keeping with the general 'very good performance' of our hotel experience. A great location to get to the main attractions from - we walked everywhere.
Four out of five does it justice in terms of value for money. I'll definitely book here again next time we come.
Positives: breakfast included was great; staff was friendly and nice. Bottle of wine, chocolates and coffee in room were nice touches. Draft beers are good pours in big glasses. Small gym with treadmills and some free weights, not much traffic. Negatives: the wait for a table at breakfast can be long, better to go early in the morning. Also, we would leave in the morning and then come back in the late afternoon, say 4 to 5pm, and the room would still not be cleaned. So we would leave again to go to the bar and housekeeping would rush through and do a very quick, minimum effort job, not changing sheets, leaving dirty glasses, etc. Make sure you put the sign on the door asking for it to be serviced. Maybe even mention when you are coming back so that they have it done beforehand.
We travelled with family and friends, stayed at the Radisson Martinique at Broadway. The loacation very good, the hotel facility's very good, the staff good. The breakfast a bit pricy and the restaurant acrosse the street served a better and cheaper breakfast.
I loved the hotel's location. It was my first time in New York and had planned to see as much as I could and the hotel definitely helped with this. It is so close to the main attractions and times square. The room was basic but nice and quiet and clean. The Hotel staff were lovely, friendly and very welcoming. The breakfast was busy but it was great to have a nice meal to set us up for the day. Free wifi was fast and definitely came in handy when trying to plan our day to day trips.
We loved the grand old architecture, built in 1896. Its location is excellent, around the corner from the Empire State Building and Macys. The staff and assistants were excellent. Our room was small but cozy. The sink facet was awkward, and it took a few minutes for the hot water to reach the 15th floor. We would stay there again.
