  • John the Bar man at the Martinique on Broadway Radisson Hotel

    by Ignacio B on 2018-02-09 03:31 pm

spent 21 days at New York, and all went well at the city and the hotel, but the last day went to have a glass of wine at the Martinique Bar of the hotel (Radisson Hotel). A guy attended us very well although they did not have any snacks or peanuts to be purchased to eat along with the wine but this guy left at 4:45 pm and another barman named John came in with the new barman shift. We paid at 4:50 pm for the wine and decided not to leave any tip and mentioned to John that please make sure next time you have snacks or peanuts to be bought for the wine, please. John started yelling at us because we left no tip, insulting us and swearing. He is an awful professional and a really bad barman. We will never go back.

    Owner Response
    Greetings from the Radisson Martinique,

We cannot thank you enough for making our property your home-away-from-home for your extended stay in NYC. It was truly disappointing to read of your final evenings experience in our Bar. Please accept our sincerest apologies. Be assured, this incident will be reviewed in detail and addressed immediately.

Thank you for bringing it to our attention.

  • Best Overall Location in Mid-town

    by Karen C on 2018-02-08 12:10 am

I always stay at the Martinique. Easy access to Penn Station and all public transportation and close walking almost anywhere. Lots of great restaurants within 10 blocks. Security, the streets feel safe and the hotel staff is always the best.

  • Good Stay

    by thekellys5 on 2018-02-05 04:59 am

We stayed here 2 nights as part of a package from a travel site. This hotel is nicely located and all the staff we encountered were very nice and welcoming (with the exception of housekeeping in the hallway who did not even acknowledge us as we smiled and said hi). We were on the 4th floor and the room was very small--the smallest of any NYC hotel we've encountered, but it was adequate. There was street noise (horns, sirens) during the night, but our white noise machine helped. The renovated bathroom was great--just big enough, but tight for 2 people at the same time.
The bell captain and doorman were both helpful with any questions we had and arranged a car for the return trip to the airport. The vehicle was new and the driver was very nice and friendly. We had breakfast at the hotel cafe and it was good. The business center was convenient for printing boarding passes and checking email, etc if needed.
    We would stay here again.

  • Great location. - Friendly staff

At check in our Hotels.com reservation was not in the system. Took 30 minutes for a sour front desk person to resolve. Once the reservation was resolved all other staff were awesome. Clean rooms with nice bathrooms. Great location with multiple transportation options. Short walk to Macy's. Enjoyable stay.
