The main advantage of this property is location - just a block from Penn station (convenient for JFK and Newark airport transportation, etc.). Subway and Path train stations are nearby as well. The hotel is somewhat dated but is undergoing renovations based on the posted signs. The lobby is dark and not very welcoming. So were the front desk agents. They were professional but not welcoming. My king room was on the smaller side but had all of the amenities and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was small but modern. My room had a doorless closet that made the room much less cozy. The carpet was dated and not very clean and this was the major issue with my room. The breakfast is a la carte only (no buffet) so allow some extra time. The breakfast area is small and was crowded. As a result I did not have time to try their breakfast but there are many options outside of the hotel. I would also suggest allowing extra time for checkout due to a line of guests and checking your bill carefully. They added a destination/resort fee to my bill without warning. I don't believe these fees are appropriate for a city based tourist/business hotel to begin with. But I certainly did not appreciate a "sneaky" nature of this fee - no warning prior to/at the booking time. However, they removed this fee from my bill after some back and forth discussions. In addition, this was my first Radisson experience where I received no elite status benefits. Overall I would recommend this hotel if you need to be near Penn Station and the price is right but even then there are better options in the area in the same price range.

Great location, accommodating and friendly staff, reasonably priced, rooms clean and well taken care of. Quick walk to Penn Station and all major subways. Plenty of food options. Great security keeping riff-raff out.

  • Excellent location!

My sister and I shared a room with two queen size beds. Hotel rooms in Manhattan can be small and therefore quite cramped but I am pleased to report that this was not my experience at the Martinique. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom well appointed and the hanging space ample. The location was fantastic, on Broadway, close to Macy's and steps away from the Subway. I'd stay at this hotel again.
