  • Fantastic Service all Around

    Hands down - one of the best hotel stays for service from everyone (reservations, valet, front desk, bag service, concierge, and room service). After a last minute cancellation due to a family death, I worried on whether I could re-schedule without losing everything I paid. Going through Hilton Honors, I was able to cancel without any grief but I did encounter a few issues on my re-book. Without prompting, I received a call directly from the hotel asking if I was in need of some help. Wow - that was amazing all in itself. Then Melody, went above and beyond to get my room re-booked and modified for my change in circumstances and even made room recommendations based on my family dynamics (and it was spot on perfect). I was very appreciative of her assistance and kindness. From there, it just got better. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Front Desk went out of their way to engage my 4 year old twins and assist in an easy check in process. I had a couple of requests (rollaway, additional sheets, blankets) and the staff was very helpful - even sending periodic text messages to check to see if all was good. The only negative I can report is we ordered room service and it was a little cold by the time it reached us. Typically that's any hotel so not a deal breaker. Traveling alone with 4 year old boys can be challenging and the staff eliminated one major stressor - managing the hotel process. Thank you Union Station Hotel - we will be back!

  • Very nice, but requires walking...

    This hotel is nice enough to be included in the Hilton brand. It is part of the old converted train station and is decorated as such. The layout is creative for dining/events inside the hotel. My only issue with this place is that there are many many rooms down many many hallways with many twists and turns. Overall a great idea in a historic structure and location!

  • Polar express trip

    We stayed the night after the Polar Express train ride with our three children. They had a blast! The staff were very nice. We had a blanket and note from Santa in our room to welcome the kids. We had dinner at The Station Grille which was very good! The chef was very accommodating. She came out to talk to me about preparing something for our 10 month old daughter. She sauted her some squash which she loved! We ended the night watching the light show in the lobby. The next morning we had breakfast at The Station Grille. We had the best waitress! Her name was Debbie. She was very nice and was attentive to the kids. The only negative comment I could make on the hotel is the cleanliness of the bathrooms. But, overall it was a great experience!

    This hotel has made some major improvements since I last stayed there. I love that the dilapidated parking lot is gone and so are the old, tired shops that used to be there. The Hilton Honors room for breakfast, snacks and evening cocktails is very nice and well stocked. I understand that a new aquarium and shops are also being added.

    The Grand Hall is an amazing must see. Absolutely beautiful. In the winter, remember to wear an extra layer in the Grand Hall. It is quite cool. Once the additional attractions are completed, this will definitely be the place to stay. For now, there's nothing around it once the Polar Express Train Ride is closed. The rooms are in a maze, so be careful to note the path. We stayed with our son and 5 year old grandson. The next morning, we had the breakfast buffet. My omelet was the best I'd ever had in my entire life. It was light and fluffy with just the right amount of ingredients. The staff went over and beyond to make our experience great and to find something my finicky grandson would enjoy. Although we were disappointed that our suite was not decorated for the holidays as advertised, it was well appointed. Note - the suites do not have doors between the sleeping and living quarters. Otherwise, everything was very nice and comfortable.
