The Brazilian Court Hotel & Beach Club

History

The Brazilian Court’s elegant yet intimate atmosphere has made it a popular guest retreat since 1926. The hotel was designed by architect Rosario Candela, well- known for creating some of the most desirable residences in New York City. With an appreciation for the privacy needs of some of the hotel’s high-profile guests, Candela designed the hotel in classic Spanish-style, with a central courtyard yet lacking a formal grand entrance. Each of the guest rooms could be easily linked with adjoining rooms to form suites. The hotel was immediately adopted by the Palm Beach elite, including Marjorie Merriweather Post, Charles Munn and Ambassador Stanton Griffis.
