Brown’s Bliss: The Spa at The Brown Palace
Encompassing two floors, the 5,200-square-foot spa is a perfect blend of elegance from the yesteryear with the post-modern West. The spa features a private couples and celebrity suite with dual reclining hydrotherapy tub, six massage and skin treatment rooms, separate men’s and women’s locker rooms with relaxation areas, Swiss showers, steam rooms with aromatherapy, and a nail and hair salon. The gentlemen’s area features a private treatment room, as well as a flat screen television. The spa offers Auriège as its official skin care line, as well as a signature product line featured in-room to guests at the Top of The Brown.

Shaping Up
Guests have complimentary use of the fitness center, which is fully equipped with top-of-the-line equipment. The center is open to guests 24 hours, daily.

Afternoon Tea
The long-standing tradition of ‘taking tea’ at The Brown Palace has been cherished by guests for more than a century. Afternoon Tea is served daily in the warm light of the atrium lobby, always with the soothing sounds of a harpist or pianist. Specially commissioned Royal Daulton bone china graces each tea table, along with engraved silver tea pots. Scones, tea pastries and tea sandwiches are prepared by the hotel’s culinary staff each day, and Devonshire cream is shipped directly from . A full complement of wines, champagnes, sherries and ports are also available.

Naturally Pure
Since opening its doors in 1892, The Brown Palace Hotel has pampered guests with natural spring water drawn from its own artesian well. Requiring no added purifiers, the sparkling spring water emerges from deep below the hotel’s foundation to serve as the main ingredient at The Spa at The Brown Palace, as well as throughout the entire hotel.

Historic Tours
Each Wednesday and Saturday at 2 p.m., Brown Palace Hotel historian Julia Kanellos leads historical tours of the hotel for guests and the general public. These tours are free of charge, do not require reservations, and last approximately 45 minutes. During these tours, visitors hear many anecdotes and stories about the people and events that have shaped the history of this landmark hotel.

Brown’s Beasts
Denver’s Brown Palace has been hosting four-legged guests since Lizzie the cat made permanent paw prints in the concrete a century ago. Dogs of any size are welcome to stay in the guest rooms and suites with their owner (a $60 charge, dog registration card and proof of rabies shot is required at check-in). A Brown Palace dog bowl and bed are delivered to the room upon arrival for use during the stay, if the owner wishes. All four-legged friends also receive a “Bone-Appetit” welcome treat from The Brown Palace kitchen.
