Brown: The Color of Meeting Success
For more than a century, The Brown Palace Hotel has played host to gatherings for prominent leaders and business executives, its staff refining its legendary talent for coordinating the ideal meeting. Divided between 12 distinct rooms, the hotel's 13,000 square feet of meeting space does more than simply accommodate groups from 10 to 500-it dazzles them with elegant tradition and rich history. Like all guests, The Brown spoils meeting attendees with exceptional amenities, cuisine and accommodations.
Since the grand opening gala in 1959, the 5,800-square-foot Grand Ballroom has welcomed more than 3,000 events. Adorned with imported African mahogany paneling and Czechoslovakian crystal chandeliers, the ballroom divides into two 2,900-square-foot rooms. The Brown's other meeting facilities include 12 spacious breakout rooms, including an executive boardroom, which conveniently adjoins to an executive one-bedroom suite. Named for famous individuals, historic events and appreciated gems, the meeting rooms feature a variety of exceptional furnishings and details, such as pure onyx columns, hand-painted ceiling murals, rich tapestries, marble fireplaces, and soaring windows overlooking Denver's financial district. The conference facility has a full-service business center, professional AV team, full-service catering team, on-site bakery, a conference services staff and a floral shop. Internet access is available in all meeting space, and Web casting and video conferencing are also available.
Reviving guests after even the longest of meetings, the newly opened Spa at The Brown Palace pampers guests with natural spring water drawn from its own artesian well. Encompassing two floors of the hotel, the 5,200-square-foot spa is a perfect blend of elegance from the yesteryear and the post-modern West. The spa features a private couples and celebrity suite with dual reclining hydrotherapy tub, six massage and skin treatment rooms, separate men's and women's locker rooms with relaxation areas, Swiss showers, steam rooms with aromatherapy, and a nail and hair salon.
Serving award-winning cuisine at four different dining venues, The Brown Palace also presents an exquisite atrium lobby beneath a stained-glass canopy for Afternoon Tea or cocktails. The sophisticated Churchill Bar offers super-premium, rare spirits and fine imported, hand-rolled and unique pre-embargo Cuban cigars for after-hour gatherings.
Within the nine-floor hotel are 241 richly appointed guest rooms and suites, with decor embracing the rich colors and fabrics from either the Victorian or Art Deco eras. At the Top of the Brown (floors eight and nine) are 33 palatial, executive accommodations. Each of these oversized rooms includes upgraded services and amenities, such as 24-hour concierge service, preferred reservations for the complimentary Mercedes car service, complimentary business center access, printer/copier/fax machine, and laptop recharging station.
