  • Great location, comfortable beds!

    We were in town for a large convention.

    This is a beautiful, older hotel, and the rooms are slightly larger than you would find in other hotels in a similar price range.

    During our stay there were a few problems that rose up (old hotel) and they were addressed immediately and successful. Every staff member with whom I interacted was very friendly and helpful. This hotel s near the Alamo, and walking distance to all the interesting things downtown.

    The fitness room is nicely stocked. Two treadmills, elliptical, and bike. There are also free weights and a few medicine balls. I didn't use the pool, but it looked like a nice place for kids to play in.

    Inside the actual room, the beds are ridiculously comfortable. The bathtub was luxiously deep. The frosted glass, sliding bathroom doors can be a little weird when sharing a room with three colleagues but for couples or singles,that wouldn't matter at all.

    This hotel is reputed to be quite haunted, but I didn't notice anything like that.

    I would definitely stay here again for business or for pleasure.

  • Remarkably poor customer service

    Refused to cancel second reservation even though I addressed the issue only a few minutes (less than 10 minutes) after it was made.

    I booked 2 rooms through a third party, and less that 5 minutes went by before my brother let me know he had booked another room (for whom the second room was purchased for). I was immediately in the phone with the hotel. They informed me there was "nothing they could do". I contacted the third party and found out that cancelations are absolutely up to the hotel.

    I left a voicemail for the manager with absolutely zero response. I stayed there that single night, and had 2 rooms.

    Again, exceptionally poor customer service.

    This occurred 10-28-17.

  • Long weekend break

    Great location, which was ideal as we were on foot for the duration. The staff we met were great. Our room was nice, but could do with a spruce up and if you are on the inside you have to keep the curtains closed. Would stay here again for sure.

  • Cheer Competition Weekend

    LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this hotel!! I will totally come back whenever I am in town. We had a beautiful room overlooking the Alamo. Breakfast was great. Staff was friendly and helpful. Property was very clean. Large bathroom. The downside..... no fridge/mini fridge in room.

  • A recommended place to stay

    We have spent in this hotel 4 nights and have been very pleased with the room, both from size and cleanliness perspective. The bathroom was spacious, with typical Hilton amenities.. reception area was pleasant, bar service quick and inexpensive, there was bit disappointing selection for breakfast. The location is ok, next to Alamo, few minutes walk from convention center, restaurants, river walk and central mall. Overall pretty good impression, we would definitely come back.
