Since 1907, the Fairmont Hotel has been host to the most important meetings and events held in San Francisco. So it was natural that in 1945, delegates from 40 countries around the world met in the historic Garden Room to draft the Charter for the United Nations. Today, the expert staff and state-of-the-art facilities help create the perfect venue for events ranging from a board meeting to the grandest of galas. All told, the property offers 20 different meeting rooms with a grand total of 55,000 square feet of convention and meeting space. The recently introduced Crown Room sits atop the 24-story tower and accommodates 225 people, providing San Francisco's most spectacular views, while the Grand Ballroom can accommodate up to 2,500 people in reception capacity.
