Overview

Open since 1919, the historic Hotel Congress is Arizona's longest continuously operated hotel. The fully renovated and restored Mission/Spanish Revival property is part hotel, part award-winning restaurant and bar, and part world-renowned nightclub, all wrapped into one. The Hotel Congress offers 40 period/vintage guestrooms that have been classically renovated and updated. Every nook and cranny of the hotel reveals a window to years past, from Tiger's Tap Room Bar to the colorful murals that line the walls.

But Hotel Congress is more than just a hotel. It is also the state's original rock and roll destination venue, with a full slate of annual events, including Dillinger Days, which takes place each January and marks the capture of the famed bank robber and his gang in 1934. The Agave Heritage Week focuses on the connection between Mexico and Arizona in regards to culinary heritage, and features tequila with tastings, dinners, and educational sessions. And, the hotel’s annual New Year's Eve and Halloween events are unlike anything ever experienced.

The Hotel Congress building was added to the National Historic Register of Historic Places in 2003. The hotel has received numerous accolades, including a Fodor's Choice distinction award in 2006 and in 2008, Esquire named Club Congress as one of the best bars in America in 2007, and Foodist named the Cup’s Cast Iron Baked Eggs as the 'Best Dish - Breakfast' in Arizona in 2015.

Hotel Congress, a member of Historic Hotels of America since 2016, dates back to 1918.

Fun FactThe hotel is the site where John Dillinger, an American gangster, was captured after a nation-wide manhunt in 1934.
