  • Depending on what you want

    by Ann U on 2017-10-15 04:05 pm

This place may or may not be for you. Considering the major renovation going on, the rooms are a bit pricey and the dining extremely limited - cafeteria type hall with very limited menu, golf grill with even more limits (neither really great). The closest place to eat is 30 minutes away. The room was nice as it had recently been renovated. The pool is fantastic with the hot spring water and golf course, fun for amateurs. Plus location in the park is great. They seem to be ( at least I hope it is the case) trying to figure out how run things so guests will enjoy the stay. Temporary walkways need to be lit better, they kept running out of basic food stuff and supplies (no coffee cup lids for the to-go coffee) and general disarray. Though we checked in at 4:00, our room was not completely cleaned. Got halfway done, then left. If you want a place for a night or two, this should suffice. Any longer, think twice or three times. And make sure your bed isn't headboard to headboard with the room next door. I did not appreciate being woken at 5:30am by their alarm and conversations on the phone.

  • Location is everything

The location is wonderful and the swimming pool is a hot springs pool lovely and warm we went in about 7.30pm after a long hot day and watched the sunset from the pool really lovely. Now the rooms this is the second time that we have stopped here and the rooms really need updating they are getting very shabby, but the beds are comfortable and although shabby it was clean. Would l stop again, yes because you cannot beat the location.

  • Beautiful

We stayed here one night as part of a 3 week USA road trip and we absolutely loved it! The cutest little ranch with the cutest little country western style feel to it! Lovely little gift shop and post office on site and a great little outdoor train museum too! Our room wasn't the greatest of decor but it was just so lovely to be in such beautiful surroundings! The rooms where basic but had everything you could need. Very clean and spacious, comfortable beds and a great little balcony with two of the cutest rocking chairs!! It was very hot the night we stayed and my boyfriend and I both woke around 1am from an uncomfortable hot sleep so we went onto our balcony where we got to see the most beautiful starlit sky EVER! It is stunning here to see the night sky as there is no light pollution, the stars are out in all their glory! We was so lucky as we got to see shooting stars too! I would 100% stay here again, thank you for such a beautiful location, you was one of my favourite visits on our USA road trip!

  • Don't let the photos fool you

    by Alana C on 2017-10-01 04:54 pm

This hotel looks nothing like the photos! My husband and I stayed for one night on they way through DV and certainly won't be back! Very expensive hotel for barely working air conditioning and one of the worst restaurants if you could call it that I've ever come across! Food was good but it was more like a staff canteen! Would advise staying clear until the building works are finished!

  • basic, but clean and friendly

rooms are relatively straightforward, but comfortable - bathrooms had just been refurbished. Spring water swimming pool was a treat - food availability relatively limited. Fantastic location for exploring Death Valley
