The Jefferson Hotel

Dining
The Jefferson has three celebrated dining options: Lemaire, located in what was the hotel's ladies parlor, is named for Etienne Lemaire who served as Maitre d'Hotel to Thomas Jefferson from 1794 through the end of his presidency. Its menu was inspired by Jefferson's fondness of meals prepared with light sauces, garden-fresh herbs and creative uses for the region's abundant variety of ingredients.
TJ's Restaurant offers fine dining in a relaxed atmosphere, featuring Mediterranean cuisine with Asian accents along with regional specialties like peanut soup, oyster chowder and pork tenderloins. Twenty wines are served by the glass and a folio of cellar selections are available, as well as an extensive list of premium cigars.
Sunday brunch is served in the Rotunda Lobby with seating amongst the marble columns and around the Mezzanine. Each week, the chef chooses a new culinary theme to feature, giving guests one more reason to visit often. Afternoon tea is also served Thursday through Sunday around the Jefferson statue in the lobby.
