  • Business stay

Interesting historic hotel with golf and a spa. We were there for work so I cannot comment on either of those however thats to be expected with a resort style stay. Our room was in one of the newer wings not the historic side and it was adequate. The air conditioner kicks on loud, backs off constantly but the windows of the room open so we ended up opening them up since it was cool enough but then we were awaken in the morning with workers on the golf course. The people that we talked with that stayed in the historic side talked of very small rooms and a very strange and almost dangerous step in the bathroom area. I would recommend staying on the newer side.

  • Amazing place

Stayed 5 nights in early October.
    Staff very friendly and helpful.
Room in Vanderbilt wing was large and very comfortable.
Attended many different functions throughout the week. Food was always good, different options available throughout.
Enjoyed sitting by fireplaces and on outside patios.
Also walked around floors in original building, pictures throughout tell the history of the Inn.
Visited spa one day: a must if you're a guest at inn as well as visiting Biltmore.
Looking forward to someday returning to Asheville.
Also Golden Fleece restaurant which is on grounds of resort is great. Good food and amazing atmosphere. Very good interpretations of Greek food.

When you walk in the building you feel the history. The staff all seem to like their jobs and greet you with a smile . I would recommend this to everyone. The old part of the building is rustic. If you like larger bedrooms and modern elevators I would recommend one of the newer wings. The food was over the top. I never had a bad meal. We were staying for a meeting. Even the food at the banquet was good. Sit on the terrace and have a drink the sunsets are breathtaking.

  • Excellent stay

You cannot have a bad time here. It is a gorgeous facility and the staff are nothing but 5 star. We had a small issue last year and they went over the top to fix it. This visit was flawless. Meals are fantastic. We stay in the historic main part of the hotel as we like old furnishings. Room was great. If you don't like old then ask for modern wing. The grounds are impeccable. I saw a man complaining about slow service but you just can't make some people happy. Service was great. You are looking at one of the most majestic mountain views while you wait. Stop and smell the roses. This place will make it happen.

Service was very good. Room was clean and neat, a little small. Closet was cramped. Service reps we're very attentive and professional. Cost for the room is a bit on the high side. I think it would be a better value for $150-$200/night.
