The Otesaga Hotel and Cooper Inn
The Fenimore Art Museum is home to one of the finest collections of American folk art, North American Indian Art, and James Fenimore Cooper memorabilia, as well as extraordinary examples from the Hudson River School. The museum is named after native Cooperstown son James Fenimore Cooper (1789-1851) considered the first major American novelist, whose best-known works centered on frontier adventure, including The Last of the Mohicans, The Deerslayer, and The Pathfinder.
The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum needs no explanation... and is a major Cooperstown attraction.
Visitors to the Farmer’s Museum can explore the 19th-century village and farmstead, interact with master artisans of the mid-1800s, visit the working farmstead with rare breeds of farm animals and tour the heritage gardens.
