    arrived here after a 10 hour flight followed by a 2 hour drive. it was so handy to just pull up and hand the keys over to the valet guys. check in was simple and we made our way up to the room. nice room. not too big but wow the bed here was so so comfortable which was a blessing as i wasnt feeling that great and literally spent the rest of that night in bed. such a shame really because we didnt get to use the restaurant or breakfast facilities. i have to say that there was always water in the room which was handy. we did get to sit downstairs at the bar which was very pleasant. this place isnt huge but the reception from all the staff is fantastic, they all greeted you with smiles and this has to be one of the only places that i have ever come across where the staff are so polite. highly recommend this hotel and worth a stay. brilliant

  • Beautiful Historic Hotel

    I'm a sucker for older historic renovated hotels so when my travels to the mountains had us stopping in Birmingham for the night, this was #1 on the list. Hilton Diamond Member traveling with the wife and 1 year old daughter.

    Arrival: Arrived around 9 PM and the valet guys could not have been more helpful. The lobby is stunning to say the least.

    Check-in: The check-in person was extremely friendly and helpful. We had reserved a king bed and requested a crib. I inquired if there were any upgraded available for diamond members and I was upgraded to a one king suite. Be sure to ask for an upgrade at this property as it doesn't seem to be automatic. There were tons of suites still available for booking at the time we checked in. As diamond members, we were also given multiple bottles of water and our breakfast vouchers.

    Room: The best description of the suites here are a normal sized bedroom at one end and a small sitting area at the other end connected by a hallway. Not the best design but when you are working with an old property, options can be limited. The condition of the room was spotless and no sign of "wear and tear." The bathroom was strikingly modern. We loved every bit of our room. There was a Keurig machine in the room with some coffee options. Only one was non-decaf so be sure to bring your own or ask the front desk.

    Breakfast: As Diamond members, you receive a voucher for $15 per person towards purchase at the cafe on site or restaurant. We chose to eat at the restaurant. Delicious made to order food. I had the French toast while the wife had a traditional egg and bacon plate. Probably my best breakfast experience while staying at a Hilton portfolio property. The staff was very helpful and accommodating even though we had the 1 year old with us. High chair was provided.

    Overall: Fantastic stay. If my travels bring me back to Birmingham, the Redmont will be tops on my list. I wish we could have stayed longer.

  • Lovely property in a great location

    I stayed at this property when I traveled to Birmingham for the Mercedes half marathon. I had previously stayed at the Hampton Inn downtown, but they required nonrefundable payment for the race weekend, which I always believe is unreasonable, so I decided to try the Redmont. I'm thrilled that I did. The room was great, the location was perfect, and the staff were incredibly friendly! They even offered me an early checkout when I told them I was doing the race - before I even asked! The property is historic, but not outdated.

    The staff was great. The hotel was clean and exceeded my expectations . I love the location, it was within walking distance to restaurants. I will definitely stay here again. I didn't get a chance to check out to roof top bar but next time that will be a priority for me.

  • Beautiful Historic Property

    My husband and I celebrated Valentine's Day a couple of weeks early to avoid crowds and were very pleased with our stay. The hotel is beautiful, clean, and very up to date. The staff is excellent and I would like to give a shout out to their tremendous service. Blaine, the rooftop bartender made delicious drinks the way they ought to be made. Carlo, the bellhop delivered the flowers my husband sent me with a genuine smile and timeliness. Our dinner (which was fantastic) was served by Robin and breakfast (also amazing) was served by Kayla. Both ladies are fabulous, personable, and efficient. We enjoyed the food and being local, will be stopping by in the future just to patronize the restaurant.

    We had a king corner room which had a very comfy bed and fabulous views. This is a historic hotel and while it has been completely renovated, plan to bring a fan or earplugs as you can very clearly hear what is going on everywhere around you (particularly if in an adjoining room, which the couple next to us probably didn't realize). My husband was a little upset that the roses he sent me weren't waiting in the room as he had requested a couple of times prior to our stay, but it wasn't a big deal to me since I was still surprised. We highly recommend this hotel to those spending time in Birmingham.
