  • Love this SPA

    You get there through areas that are not so nice and then there is this heavenly place tucked in. The robes are nice and fluffy, the rooms are so cozy, and the service is impeccable! Been there overnight and just for the day. Both times, it was an amazing experience.

  • PROPERTY UNKEPT/ SPA GREAT

    The receptionist was spacey and did not know the property. I was given a room with 2 flights up and I am disabled. She told me there was a ramp to the room, but there never was one.

    The property, room and deck need paint and loving care. The room was clean and the kitchen was fine.

    The spa was great. I had an excellent massage with Lindsay. There is a hot tub and pool indoors.

    There is scones with tea on the patio every afternoon, fresh and delicious We ate brunch outdoors and again the hostess did not make us welcome. We did not have a reservation and she was not happy with that but the patio was empty with plenty of tables and waiters.

I'm also glad you enjoyed the tea and scone tasting, it really is a fantastic amenity.

    I apologize for the confusion with your room. I think some of our recent renovations might have added to the confusion, but I will see that it is cleared up for future guests. There are additional renovations upcoming that I think will address your other concerns, I hope you will return and give us a chance to provide a remarkable getaway experience.

  • Love this spa!

    Have never stayed overnight but have gone quite a few times for the day! Love the package options where everything is included! You know exactly what you have to pay. Love the water exercise class and the Swedish massage! Lunch was delicious! Wonderful day for the price! Wish we could still use Spa Finder gift cards! Also, would not get pedicure or manicure because prices are too high. Tried it once to see if the price differential was worth it and it wasn't.

  • Vintage should not mean dirty!

    Built around 1920 with Villas added around 1980's - had hoped for old charm. What I got was old. Villa dirty, smelled of old fireplace and obvious filth. Inquired about possible room changed. Denied. Honestly rental car would of been cleaner place to spend the night. Gave 2 stars for the food only. Fabulous desserts!!!

You probably noticed some recent renovations, and there are more upcoming. I think these will address your concerns and enhance future visits for all our guests.

  • The photos looked nice...

    I really had high hopes for this place. The photos looked nice, and we've stayed at similar small inns/B&Bs and had good experiences. The first thing I noticed while walking to our room was an unpleasant smell in the corridor. Ok, I was willing to overlook that. Our room was spacious, but the bed was not at all comfortable, and the wifi did not work. The walls are very thin, so the rooms don't offer much privacy. I mean, you could hear people in the room next to you speaking at conversation level. I don't know if the people in the room above us were just stomping their feet or what, but it was noisy. Breakfast was very poor. I had to climb over a pile of deck umbrellas to get to the table, the whole area looked cluttered and untidy. I was looking forward to some fresh fruit, and it looked and tasted like it was old. Ok, I thought, I'll try the pastries. They had been in the microwave. Why? Why would someone torture innocent food like this? I had a cappuccino, and it tasted like it came from a powdered mix. We had a table booked for dinner, but canceled it and went elsewhere. I visited the spa for a steam and sauna before dinner. The spa lobby looks very nice, but the steam room was...not really a steam room, sort of just a slightly humid room. The whole place, apart from the spa lobby, looked like it had been neglected and not kept up, and for the price, I was expecting a lot nicer. While we were checking out, a woman was explaining to reception that there were roaches in her room, and she was not happy. I believe they were offering her a refund, which is good, but why not just take better care of the place? I have stayed at the Mohegan Sun for conferences in the past and the rooms there are very nice, and less expensive than this. I would like to support a small business, but you have to do better. Sorry, but we won't stay here again, and I can't recommend this place.
