  • Architect's dream, decent location, rooms small

    by ob1dob on 2017-10-13 05:07 am

I stayed at the Union Station Hotel for 4 nights in early October 2017 for business. The hotel is architecturally stunning (it was a train station which has been re-modeled into a boutique hotel). The guest room I stayed in was very small - bed night table desk and TV (typical of a boutique hotel though). It was decorated with some modern art and materials which gave it some charm. The bathroom was functional for one person. The shower had a plastic/material curtain and a low-flow shower head. I get that hotels are trying to be eco-friendly but not having pressure in a shower when you are paying $300 a night is unforgivable. My room was also facing train tracks and I was awoken each night by passing freight trains. Overall it is a nice hotel, situated walking distance to the action on Broadway street but, in my opinion, overpriced for what you get.

  • Beautifully Restored Train Station Destination

    by Betsy D on 2017-10-12 02:14 pm

We opted to stay at the Union Station Hotel for our last night in Nashville. The lobby with its soaring, ornate ceiling is a marvel and throw-back to an era where attention to detail in architecture was a given. If you don't happen to stay at this lovely hotel, at least check out the lobby. Our room was quite large but a little on the dark side. The bed was comfortable and the room well appointed. No complaints there.

We did have breakfast in the hotel before our flight out but if time wasn't a factor would probably have gone elsewhere. While the young man who took our order made every attempt to satisfy my requests, $20 for a bowl of oatmeal was a bit more than I would have spent. A small inconvenience of an otherwise very nice stay.

  • Beautiful Hotel

    by Gus M on 2017-10-11 04:41 am

The hotel is beautiful and the staff is outstanding. It is a short walk to the Ryman Theatre and downtown from this hotel. This is a must stay hotel for sure. The uniqueness of the inside and outside of the building shows off the grand style of the 1800's.

  • Beautiful hotel, just a few blocks from the crazy

    by Kristin S on 2017-10-09 04:45 pm

Beautiful lobby and clean contemporary rooms! Located on broadway but a short few block walk from all the honky tonks. Nice quiet place to rest your head bit still close to everything. Friendly and helpful staff.

    Owner Response
    Dear Kristin S,
Since train stations are generally built as a true hub for the city, Union Station has a 117 year history of being in the heart of Nashville, both literally and figuratively. Our hotel, just as it was as a train station, is the starting point for so many Nashville adventures, and our location is convenient to not only the Honky Tonks on Lower Broadway, but to the Gulch, SoBro, the West End and more. Congratulations on your first wedding anniversary and we hope to see you back in Music City to celebrate future anniversaries!
    Sincerely,
    Mike Nelson

  • Lovely hotel

by SeychellesDream on 2017-10-08 08:26 pm

Lovely hotel in a historic Bldg - formerly a train station. Well appointed room with a spacious bathroom. I stayed on the 6th floor in a room facing the train tracks. I am a light sleeper and had no issues with the sound.
