  • Wonderful stay

by lindacrick on 2017-12-13 01:25 pm

The Williamsburg Inn has a fresh new face from an extensive remodel last winter. First, the entire colonial area and the Inn itself were wonderfully decorated for the Christmas season. The Inn's approach driveway is newly remodeled with an eliptical reflecting pond. The Holiday lights are over the top beautiful including the trees that reflect in this pond. From the greeting at the door to check in with champagne to the newly remodeled lobby and time period Christmas tree, the cozy fires, the great new Rockefeller room. the extensive fitness area and spa, the huge rooms and terrific marble baths and ALL the staff....AAAAA+++++

  • Indescribably Fantastic with Elegance and History

Just as it was for our honeymoon 25 years ago, the Inn is by far the finest place we have ever stayed.

Let me start by saying that I travel for a living and have stayed on more hotels that I can count AND the Williamsburg Inn far surpasses any hotel experience that we have had in many, many years in many countries.

The Inn was exceptional on every level - from the gorgeous and tasteful room decor with attention to every detail (including fresh flowers) to the impeccable service and amenities. All the staff provided top-notch service with a smile and we were often addressed by name.

Amazing and luxurious are the words that come to mind - champagne when we arrived, newspapers of our choice, Nespresso is the room, turn-down service, Bose Stereo, robes and slippers, gorgeous marble bathrooms and lovely products, velvet furniture, silk window treatments, a balcony overlooking the golf course...the list goes on and on and on (see photos).

The renovations to the Inn have improved some functionality but retained the historic ambiance - we loved the outdoor dining area with the heat lamps, but were grateful for the traditional wood burning fireplaces in the lobby. The new smaller dining rooms are beautifully decorated and we dined at the Inn for breakfast and dinner and all three dining areas. Breakfast was by far the best!

We also loved the fact that we could purchase all tickets right at the Inn and were steps away from all the attractions in Colonial Williamsburg as well as the Spa.

We felt we were in paradise and we so truly grateful that we chose to stay at the Williamsburg Inn both for our Honeymoon in 1992 and our 25th in 2017! We definitely will not wait another 25 years before staying again as this was truly an experience of a lifetime.

  • Treat yourself....

Twenty five years ago we spent our honeymoon at the Williamsburg Inn. It was special then, and is today. The experience is truly amazing, from the staff, to the rooms, to the food, to the special touches. If you are looking for somewhere to spend special moments look no further. Williamsburg Inn will not disappoint you, nor will the many tourist attractions and history that awaits you in this town.

Lovely rooms, superior turndown service, friendly and helpful staff. We enjoyed the convenience of the location, we walked right into the historic district. The dining room is beautiful and the food was great. It was nice to purchase tickets and schedule events through the hotel staff.
