  • Awesome Stay with Our Dog

    We've stayed many times at The Woodstock Inn as a couple and this time stayed with our dog in a pet friendly room. We loved being able to enjoy all areas of the inn with our dog other than the restaurants. By the end of our stay, quite a few other guests and the staff greeted our dog by name. Our room was perfection with a comfortable bed and office area and our dog was provided with a bed and also water and food bowls. Our room was close to an exit which was nice for taking our dog out for walk.s

  • Lovely property, not the best experience

    Woodstock Inn is obviously a lovely property but our overall experience was far less pleasant than anticipated. Check in was crowded and inefficient. Our room on the second floor smelled like a diaper changing station, so much so that we had to buy candles and keep the window open. The shower drain was clogged so that the water rose to our ankles. Maintenance came to repair, and after awhile said, "You're all set." No change whatsoever - not what you expect when paying full price. Upon checkout the hotel took off the resort fee. Perhaps other rooms are better.

    Thank you for staying with us recently, and I am very sorry to learn your stay was not al you'd hoped for and more. Of course we are proud of our property, which as you note is exceptionally beautiful; but you are absolutely right that it takes much more than a beautiful property to create a memorable stay.

    Our goal is for every aspect of your stay to engage and appeal to all five senses and in fact a sixth- that "I belong here" feeling. It's clear that we stumbled in these areas and I am sorry our management team wasn't aware of the opportunities while you were still here so we could have attempted t make amends.

    I hope you understand that this is not typical of a stay at The Woodstock Inn & Resort, and you'll choose to visit again when you have the chance to revisit the area. We look forward to providing a far more welcoming and engaging experience!

  • Our Mini-Moon was Perfect

    My wife and I had a lovely time at The Woodstock Inn for our honeymoon! They booked us on a short notice, provided all sorts of freebies, and made our stay feel special. The facilities are excellent, especially the cozy rooms and pleasant Red Rooster restaurant. We had a great time getting a couple's massage at the Spa, which is richly furnished and full of ways to relax. The staff may have been what really sets the Inn apart. Thank you all!

  • Romantic, Charming, Peaceful, Gorgeous!

    It was everything we expected and more. Very comfortable beds, large bathrooms, quaint, romantic, plentiful restaurants, charming gift shop (we loaded up on) There was a recreation room for children and we throughly enjoyed this place. I just must say that there reservation and phone system needs improvement from making the reservation up to trying to call the Concierge/ Front Desk etc. Phones go unanswered after multiple attempts but I will say I'd stay here again anytime!

  • Wonderful stay & incredible food!

    We stayed here for the 1st time last week for the October foliage. The Inn was beautiful and we loved the ambiance. The food was the best we have ever had (at both their Rooster and their Tavern restaurants) and we've traveled a lot. John the bar tender was an AMAZING server ( we ate at the bar for every meal lunch and dinner on purpose to be waited on by him..he was amazingly accommodating).
    We'll definitely go back but did feel it was way overpriced...after fees etc it was $520 a night..pretty crazy and there wasnt many activities that they offered at the hotel like other high end resorts do. Basically golf and a workout room. There is a spa but why be inside when you're in Vermont! so we'd go again for the ambiance and the food but $250 a night would be more in line.
